St. Francis of Assisi Statue

St. Francis of Assisi (1182-1226), the founder of the Franciscan order, was a promoter of peace, simplicity and harmony. The statue, gifted to Xavier by Bernard '49 and Jean Ann Downey, portrays his enduring legacy as patron saint of the poor, animals, and ecology.
