What Happened - Reports of Concerning Social Media Posts

The Dean of Students received reports concerning multiple social media posts by a current Xavier student.  These posts contained language that incites violence against protesters participating in public events surrounding the murder of George Floyd.  One post contained racially-charged language. 

How has the Bias Advisory Response Team Responded?

BART was informed of the incident and determined that it meets the University’s definition of a bias incident due to the nature of the language contained in the posts.  The matter has been referred to the Dean of Students office for follow up.
