Rising Sophomore Student Housing Process

This housing selection process will be for students in their first year at Xavier to select housing for the 2026-2027 academic year. This includes:

  • Students who started at Xavier in Fall 2025 as first years
  • Students who started at Xavier in Fall 2025 as new transfer students
  • Students who started at Xavier in Spring 2026

Monday, January 26, 2026 Housing Application Opens & Roommate Group Formation Starts on MyHousing Portal
Friday, February 13, 2026 Housing Accommodation Deadline for Accessibility & Disability Resources
Wednesday, February 18, 2026 Muskie Match-Up Pairing Event at 6 PM in Center for Mission & Identity at Justice Hall (Across from Currito)
Monday, February 23, 2026 Housing Applications Due & Roommate Group Formation Close at 12:00 PM ET Noon
Friday, February 27, 2026 Room Selection Times Announced to Xavier Email
Tuesday, March 3, 2026 Room Selection Day 1
Wednesday, March 4, 2026 Room Selection Day 2
  1. Log into the MyHousing site starting on January 26th, use your Xavier Single Sign On (SSO) which is where you will complete the housing application

  2. On the application, you will:

    1. Answer living preference questions
    2. Update your emergency contact and address information
    3. Indicate hall preferences
    4. Review the housing contact and sign using your student ID (000XXXXXX)
  3. Application Opens: Tuesday, January 26th 
  4. Application Deadline: Monday, February 23rd at 12:00 PM ET (Noon)
  1. Students have the option to form a roommate group or to participate as an individual during the application process.
  2. Roommate Formation Opens: Monday, January 26th 
  3. Roommate Formation Closes: Monday, February 23rd at 12:00 PM ET (Noon)
  1. Students with approved housing accommodations through Accessibility and Disability Resources will have housing options sent to them that met their accommodation needs.
  2. All other students and groups will receive a randomly generated selection time.
  3. During the assigned time, or later, any student from the roommate group can log in to MyHousing to select the room.

All messages regarding the Rising Sophomore Housing Selection process will be sent only to students' Xavier email addresses. Students are encouraged to share this message with any family or supporters who will be helping guide them.
