Upperclass Student Housing Process

Upperclass students refer to those in their third (junior) or fourth (senior) year of study. These students have progressed beyond their first two years of undergraduate education and are closer to completing their degree programs.

The upperclass housing selection process for the 2026-2027 academic year is now active.

Process Steps

1.) Submit Application

Students may submit the application on MyHousing under Housing Application. Applications due by Friday, November 14th.  

Students with a need for a housing accommodation should work with the Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources to complete the aaccommodation process prior to the deadline.

Students are not committed to the terms of the housing contract until their assignment has been made!

 

2.) Form Roommate Group

Students have the option to form a roommate group of up to four individuals within the housing application.

 

3.) Room Selection

Dana Houses

  • Groups of 4 interested in living in one of the houses on Dana may express this interest on the application. 
  • Students must be a full group of four and all must have submitted a housing application by the deadline to be considered. 
  • In the event there are more groups interested than houses available, groups will be randomly drawn for these spaces. 
  • Given the more independent nature of living in a campus house, a student conduct check will occur for those selected.

 Squatting in Apartment Area

  • Students may indicate their desire to stay in the same apartment for next year (i.e., squatting) on the application. 
  • Options will include staying in same building, and stay in unit room but pull in others as roommates.  Availability per hall may vary.
  • Priority will be given to full or partial groups remaining in the same location. For roommate groups, each student must have submitted an application by the deadline and form a roommate group in MyHousing
  • When making squatting assignments there is no guarantee a student will remain in the same unit.
  • Students who apply for summer housing will be required to move spaces even if they are living in the same unit during spring 2026 and the next semester, fall 2026.

Room Selection

  • Students will be assigned a selection time and similar to prior selection processes will select from the remaining space available at their time. 
  • This selection will occur online within the housing application on either November 20th or 21st
