For New Students

Checklist

1. FERPA

The Family Education Rights and Privacy Rights Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education record. Once a student is 18 years old or attends a school beyond high school level, certain information is protected and can only be released with the student's authorization. Proxy access is a way for students to authorize others to see their university information or talk about it with Xavier University staff.

Proxy Access

Proxy access gives the students the ability to authorize parents, guardians and others to view and discuss their university information with Xavier staff. Individuals who have been granted Proxy Access will be able to view student grades, financial aid award information, and student account and billing details.

For more details about how to designate a proxy, we encourage students to visit the Proxy Access page

2. Payment Plan

When enrolling in a payment plan, a student's total semester balance will be evenly divided into five monthly installments. At this time, students enrolled in the Accelerated BSN Program are not able to enroll in the payment plan.
If not enrolled in the payment plan for the Fall 2024 Semester, a student's balance must be paid in full by July 25, 2024.
