Student Parking Permits

Everything you need to know about parking at Xavier University

Get Your Parking Permit

Purchase your virtual permit online through the Xavier Parking Portal. You'll need your Xavier ID and vehicle information including license plate number.

Virtual Permits: Xavier University uses a License Plate Recognition (LPR) system. Your license plate serves as your permit - no physical permit needs to be displayed.

Permit Types

Resident Permit (R)

Valid Areas:

  • All R-Lots only
  • C-Lots from 4:30 pm Friday to 8:00 pm Sunday
  • Overnight parking in R-Lots only

For traditional residence halls

Resident Village (RV)

Valid Areas:

  • Village Apartment lots and R-Lots
  • C-Lots from 4:30 pm Friday to 8:00 pm Sunday
  • Overnight parking in RV-Lots and R-Lots

For Village Apartments residents

Resident Commons (RC)

Valid Areas:

  • Commons Apartment lots and R-Lots
  • C-Lots from 4:30 pm Friday to 8:00 pm Sunday
  • Overnight parking in RC-Lots and R-Lots

When Can I Park?

With a Permit

All students, employees, contractors, and visitors must have a valid parking permit. Permit zones and times vary by type.

Without a Permit

Not allowed. All vehicles must be registered. Visitors must obtain a permit — either in advance or upon arrival by scanning a QR code in posted visitor areas.

24-Hour Restricted Parking

Disability spaces, fire lanes, reserved stalls, and coned-off areas are enforced 24/7. Unauthorized use may result in a citation or tow.
