BA in Organizational Leadership

The Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership is designed for adult students who want to prepare for leadership positions in organizational settings. Students acquire a broad foundational knowledge, deepened within a specific disciplinary minor and applied in a community-based project.

Students complete 15 credits in required courses in management, communication and psychology, as well as one elective. They also must complete a minor and a capstone course.

The degree with three of its minors can be completed fully online.

Required Courses (15 credit hours): 

  • MGMT 200 – Organizational Management
  • MGMT 314 – Leadership
  • MGMT 309 – Change Management or MGMT 312 – Negotiation and Conflict Management
  • COMM 260 – Organizational Communication
  • PSYC 261 – Social Psychology

One Elective (3 credit hours) from courses including:

  • COMM 209 – Group Dynamics
  • PSYC 321 – Industrial Organizational Psychology
  • COMM 264 - Persuasion
  • COMM 327 - Interpersonal Conflict Management
  • COMM 360 - Advanced Organizational Communication

Capstone (3 credits):

  • ORGL 495 – Organizational Leadership Capstone course
