Application Review Timeline

Xavier offers rolling admission, meaning applications are reviewed as they are received. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, but submitting by the priority deadline ensures timely review timely review, transfer credit evaluation (if applicable), and advising preparation.

Bachelor of Liberal Arts (Accelerated 8 Week Terms)

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Liberal Arts program should follow the priority deadlines below:

• Fall Entry
  • 1st Half Term (Aug 17-Oct 9): July 1
  • 2nd Half Term (Oct 12-Dec 4): September 1
• Spring Entry
  • 1st Half Term (Jan 11-Mar 5): December 1
  • 2nd Half Term (Mar 8-May 7): February 1

Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership (Accelerated 8 Week Terms)

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership program should follow the priority deadlines below:

• Fall Entry
  • 1st Half Term (Aug 17-Oct 9): July 1
  • 2nd Half Term (Oct 12-Dec 4): September 1
• Spring Entry
  • 1st Half Term (Jan 11-Mar 5): December 1
  • 2nd Half Term (Mar 8-May 7): February 1

All Other Adult Student Programs

(Traditional semester based programs and all other adult pathways)

Students not enrolled in one of the accelerated programs listed above should follow these priority deadlines:

• Fall Entry – Priority Deadline: July 1
• Spring Entry – Priority Deadline: December 1

Please note: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Students may apply after priority deadlines; however, advising timelines, course availability, and preferred start terms may be limited.

Your completed application must include the following:

• Final official high school transcript, including senior year grades or official GED test scores
• Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended
• A written essay

Additional Materials (if requested)

The Adult Admission team may request an in-person or virtual interview and/or a letter of recommendation from an employer or someone familiar with your academic or professional experience.

Official transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to Xavier University.

• Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis and are typically shared within one month after your application file is complete.
• Missing documents—especially official transcripts—will delay your admission decision.
• Please submit your FAFSA around the same time as your application to receive timely financial aid information.
• Once your application file is complete, it will be reviewed for an admission decision.
• If you have previously earned college credit, your transcripts will be forwarded to the Office of the Registrar for transfer credit evaluation after you are admitted.

When you’re ready to move forward, submit your $250 enrollment deposit to secure your place in Xavier’s Adult and Professional Education (APEX) program. Once received, you’ll be connected with your advisor to begin planning and registering for your classes.

 What to Know

• Your deposit is applied toward your total tuition — it is not an additional fee
• The deposit is non-refundable
• Financial aid and institutional aid cannot be used to pay the deposit

Deposit Priority Deadlines

Admitted adult students are encouraged to meet the following priority deadlines to stay on track for enrollment and course planning.

• Fall Entry Commitment Deposit: August 1
• Spring Entry Commitment Deposit: December 1
• Meeting these deadlines provides the best access to advising, registration, and available courses. Students may continue enrollment steps after these dates; however, options may be limited.
