Choosing a Location

Choosing where to record your video is an important part of the planning process. You will need to consider what is already available and what you need to bring when recording. Here is a short list to get you started:

  • Power Outlets
  • Light - windows or fixtures
  • A TV or projector to display your presentation
  • Noise from traffic, nearby people, appliances, etc.

The Digital Media Lab has a studio space available that may meet some or all of these needs. Please visit the Digital Media Lab Student Studio webpage or come to the Digital Media Lab for more information on what is available.

Please note - while the Digital Media Lab studio does have a TV, we do not recommend shooting in the Studio if you need to record content shown on a screen. For that we recommend scheduling a study room with a screen. You can schedule a study room in CLC or Alter by following the instructions posted on the Library's website.
