The St. Francis Xavier scholarship is a full tuition, four-year scholarship. It is awarded annually to up to 10 incoming first-year students with exceptional academic achievement and outstanding leadership involvement in their community and/or school.
Typical recipients of the St. Francis Xavier scholarship rank in the top 5 percent of their high school class with a GPA of at least a 3.75 and have a minimum SAT of 1360 (ACT of 31). Selected students will be asked to submit additional materials to be evaluated.
The St. Francis Xavier scholarship is tuition restricted and will replace any other scholarship/award offers.
Xavier offers many academic scholarships and awards to recognize students for their achievements. Any student who applies for admission is automatically evaluated for one of these awards. For Fall 2018, these academic scholarship and award amounts ranged from $5,000 to $20,000 annually. These awards are renewable for a total of four years as long as students maintain a minimum GPA and remain enrolled full-time.
National Merit finalists who list Xavier as their first choice and meet the application deadline are guaranteed at least a Xavier Scholarship, plus a $1,000-$2,000 renewable award depending on financial need, if they do not receive a corporate sponsored National Merit award.
