Employment
Students who file a FAFSA form may be offered the opportunity to apply for student employment.
A variety of on-campus positions are available and offer valuable work experience that enhances the academic journey. To be eligible, students must be authorized to work in the United States and provide the required documentation.
Student employment may be funded through either the Federal Work-Study program or by Xavier's University Employment program.
Students who accept employment will be paid biweekly and may elect to have their earnings directly deposited to a savings or checking account or applied directly to their bursar account.
Students are not required to earn the full amount of their authorized Federal Work-Study award. Choosing not to work, or not earning the full amount, will not increase university need-based aid. Participation in student employment is optional and may be declined without penalty.
