Tiffany Isaac, Ph.D.
Teaching Professor
Dr. Tiffany Isaac is a teaching faculty in the Sport Science and Management Department at Xavier University. Her teaching load covers courses in the Sport Management and Coaching Education and Athlete Development Programs. Dr. Isaac served in teaching positions at Paine College, the University of Georgia, and the University of Louisville, prior to her appointment at Xavier University.
Dr. Isaac earned her doctorate degree in kinesiology with emphasis in sport pedagogy from the University of Georgia (UGA). While at UGA, she was a member of the Sport Instruction Research Lab, and recipient of the Mary Ella Lunday Soule Research and the Ann Jewett Distinguished Assistantships. Dr. Isaac holds two master’s degrees in kinesiology from Temple University and Georgia Southern University with concentrations in exercise physiology and coaching education, respectively. Her bachelor’s degree is in biology from Paine College, where played basketball and volleyball.
Dr. Isaac has enjoyed several coaching opportunities at the collegiate, high school, and recreational levels. These opportunities have been coaching women and youth basketball and volleyball. Her research interest grew from these coaching experiences. She realized that coaches spent the better part of their time in organizational responsibilities that involve creating the ideal conditions for competition and practices. Dr. Isaac’s research interest is in this area, specifically the organizational structure, roles, responsibilities, and tasks of a coaching program.
Dr. Isaac is from North Augusta, South Carolina and considers Augusta, Georgia home. In her spare time, she enjoys attending and watching sporting events, volunteering in the community, and being in nature. She is the proud parent of three children and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
