Policies and Procedures

General Policies and Procedures

  1. Patrons must be 18-years of age to purchase a membership
  2. Proper conduct must be reserved at all times to avoid possible suspension of membership privelages. 
  3. As a university recreational facility, we are staffed by students. Therefore, we adhere to the University calendar. Please check listed facility/break hours and closings. 

Fitness Policies and Procedures

  1. Patrons must be at least 18 years of age to use the fitness area
  2. Be courteous and respectful of all persons
  3. All equipment must be used in the matter for which it is designed. 
  4. Unauthorized use of facilities for instructing/coaching is prohibited, including personal training. 
  5. The on-duty Recreational Sports staff has authority over all facility areas, conduct, and use of equipment. 
  6. Please ask for assistance when using equipment with which you are not familiar. Equipment orientations are also available. 
  7. Use of the facility and all equipment is on a first come/first serve basis. 
  8. To avoid congestion and lines, please allow otherw to work in-between sets while using strength training equipment.
  9. Equipment is not to be removed from designated areas to be used in other spaces. 
  10. Please return all equipment to its proper rack/storage after use. 
  11. Lift weights in a controlled manner refraining from slamming weights.
  12. Olympic lifting is permitted. Patrons assum all risk and liability of olympic lifts and should consult with a personal trainer or the Coordinator of Fitness and Wellbeing if they are unsure of how to properly perform such lifts. 
  13. Wipe down equipment after use. Please do not spray the machines directly with cleaning solution, use towels provided. This helps us maintain equipment long. 
  14. Patrons should check equipment prior to use. Please report damaged equipment and/or malfunctions to the Fitness Floor Attendant or Facility Manager. 
  15. Report any injuries or incidents to the Recreational Sports staff immediately. 
  16. The use of chalk is prohibited. 
  17. Photography or videography of other patrons is not permitted. 
  18. All beverages must be in a closed container with lid/cap. 

Pool Policies and Procedures

  1. Proper swim attire must be worn in the pool. 
  2. All patrons must shower prior to entering the pool. 
  3. Hanging on the lane lines is not permitted. 
  4. Kickboards, noodles, and fins are allowed in the pool but must be put away when finished. No horseplay.
