Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice
ISSJ During COVID-19 : These challenging times provide us with new questions, new needs and new opportunities. As always, the Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice is here to provide a space for learning, reflection, community building, and creating a new social imagination. The learning communities that form in each of our graduate classes provide a unique space of support, stimulation, rigor and depth. Please check out our past virtual events here and review our current course offerings. Feel free to email us with any suggestions or needs that you would like to see us address.
The Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice provides a university context for personal and social renewal, ethical analysis, a deeper social imagination, and the spiritual resources of our wisdom traditions to prepare people to contribute effectively to a more just, more humane world.
Our graduate theology program at Xavier University offers students a rich academic and socially engaged atmosphere in the Ignatian tradition where they pursue personal enrichment and the grounding for a variety of Christian vocations, career options, or future doctoral work. Rigorous classes presented in a variety of formats (online, evening, weekends, condensed 8-week) allow students to explore theology and topics of Social justice, Biblical Studies, Spirituality, World Religions, and Youth/Campus Ministry.
