The Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice provides a university context for personal and social renewal, ethical analysis, a deeper social imagination, and the spiritual resources of our wisdom traditions to prepare people to contribute effectively to a more just, more humane world.

Our graduate theology program at Xavier University offers students a rich academic and socially engaged atmosphere in the Ignatian tradition where they pursue personal enrichment and the grounding for a variety of Christian vocations, career options, or future doctoral work. Rigorous classes presented in a variety of formats (online, evening, weekends, condensed 8-week) allow students to explore theology and topics of social-impact-impact justice, Biblical Studies, Spirituality, World Religions, and Youth/Campus Ministry.

The Institute offers Master’s degrees in theology with specializations in three tracks:

• Ethics, Spirituality and Professional Practice (ESPP)

• Solidarity and Sustainability in a Global Context (SSGC)

• Applied Spirituality and Pastoral Care

The Institute offers other options for professional and personal development including:

• Certificates

• Programs, Workshops and Retreats
