Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice

ISSJ Fall 2021: The Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice is excited to provide both in-person and hybrid (zoom to class) options for all our Fall Courses. Our classes provide a space for learning, reflection, community building, and creating a new social imagination and we want to make sure everyone has access to that space! The learning communities that form in each of our graduate classes provide a unique space of support, stimulation, rigor and depth. Feel free to email us with any suggestions or needs that you would like to see us address.

NEXT INFORMATION SESSION: Join us for a zoom info-session on Xavier University’s Theology Master’s Program on September 23rd at 5pm- 6pm. This is an opportunity to hear about how the Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice at Xavier University could help you in your next steps, whether that is personal spiritual enrichment, following a new vocational call, or future doctoral work. Register here.

The Institute for Spirituality and Social Justice provides a university context for personal and social renewal, ethical analysis, a deeper social imagination, and the spiritual resources of our wisdom traditions to prepare people to contribute effectively to a more just, more humane world.

Our graduate theology program at Xavier University offers students a rich academic and socially engaged atmosphere in the Ignatian tradition where they pursue personal enrichment and the grounding for a variety of Christian vocations, career options, or future doctoral work. Rigorous classes presented in a variety of formats (online, evening, weekends, condensed 8-week) allow students to explore theology and topics of Social justice, Biblical Studies, Spirituality, World Religions, and Youth/Campus Ministry.
