Xavier Veteran Employee Team (XVET)

Who we are and how to get involved

XVET was formed in January 2019, as a collection of faculty and staff who identify as Armed Forces Veterans or advocates of Veterans. Our charge is to serve as a group committed to investing in the professional development of Xavier’s Veteran workforce while keeping the campus community informed about Veteran issues.

There are no requirements to be a member of XVET, just a desire to support and encourage our Veteran Employees. XVET meets on the 3rd Monday of each month from 12:00-1:00 in the Student Veterans Conference Room, CLC 529. If you have, questions please contact us at

Mission and Vision

Xavier Veteran Employee Team (XVET), as Xavier University’s military affinity group, advocates for the recruitment, integration, retention and development of military affiliated employees to strengthen the University through awareness, socialization, and increased inclusivity.

XVET supports Xavier University’s effort to be recognized as a Military Friendly Employer in higher education and to be ranked in the top 1% nationally for its hiring, retention, support and advancement of Veterans and their family members. XVET strives to continually increase the number of Veterans in University faculty, staff, and leadership positions. Further, XVET leads Xavier University's effort to become the region’s Center of Excellence for Veteran employment in higher education.
