Intercultural Competency in Colombia Summer Program


The 2026 Xavier Summer Program in Colombia will offer four-week language and cultural immersion experience based in Cali, Colombia at the Jesuit University Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Cali. Students will be able to earn nine credits of upper division Spanish courses to fulfill in the Xavier Spanish major or minor or in the university core curriculum, as applicable. In addition to classes, program activities and excursions, will include the following:
3-day excursion to the coffee region of Quindío, with overnight and visit to colonial towns of Salento. Students will participate in activities such as horseback riding, hiking, and visit to a coffee farm.
4-day excursion to the Amazon, Leticia, Colombia
Local excursions to parks, historical and popular sites in and around Cali.
