Rose Sunila is a Cincinnati-based choreographer, performer, and movement educator originally from Finland. She holds an M.A. in Dance from the Theater Academy of Finland (Helsinki University of the Arts) and serves on faculty at Cincinnati Ballet and as adjunct faculty of dance at Xavier University. Rose teaches a range of dance styles, drawing from contemporary, modern, and improvisational forms, and is known for integrating somatic practices and mindfulness into her work. A RYT 500, RPYT, and YACEP-certified yoga teacher as well as a trained breathwork facilitator, her teaching centers on empowerment through movement and embodied exploration. Her choreographic and research interests focus on the evolving sense of self through dance, interoception, and the subtle body—placing lived experience at the core of creative expression.
