How to Sign-Up

- Select ‘Get a Pass’ on the map home page.
- Scroll to find the “Xavier Spring Semester Pass” (listed at $0)
- Create your account using your name, Xavier University email (xavier.edu), and phone number.
- Add a valid credit card for any applicable overage fees and “purchase” your free semester pass.
- Return to the map page and begin riding!
How to Ride
- Use the BCycle app map page to locate your station.
- Select the dock number of the bike you would like to unlock and follow the in-app prompts to complete your checkout.
- Once the bike releases, pull the bike straight back to remove from dock.
- Begin your two hours of riding*
- End your ride by returning bike to an empty dock at any Red Bike station, waiting for it to lock, and repeating!
* Every hour beyond the two hours that a bike is checked out without redocking will accrue an additional $5 fee per hour. To avoid extra fees, check the bike into any station every 120 minutes (two hours), and you can check it right back out and keep riding!
*Bikes must be docked in a Red Bike station to end your trip and secure the bike. Users are responsible for bikes (and associated fees) that are left unattended or go missing.
Rider Safety Tips
It’s important to always be aware of your surroundings when on a bike. Remember these rules and tips for your ride.
- Wear a helmet. Though not law, we highly encourage riders to wear a helmet when they ride.
- Stay on the Streets, Bike Lanes, and Multi-use paths. Ride on the road or bike paths as it is illegal for anyone over 16 to ride on sidewalks.
- Signal to others on road. Always indicate when you are turning, changing lanes, or stopping.
