Associate Provost for Academic Engagement

The Associate Provost for Academic Engagement supports the University's Strategic Plan and Academic Plan by coordinating efforts around the following key areas:

• Academic Advising Academic advising helps students plan academic progress and achieve their educational goals.
• Xavier offers many experiential learning opportunities every year.
• The Take It On initiative is Xavier’s non-partisan, values-centered initiative to proactively promote better civic discourse and robust, peaceful engagement in politics. Take It On seeks to implement and operate by the Principles of Free Speech and Expression at Xavier University.
• The Associate Provost supports the Workday Student implementation.

The Associate Provost for Academic Engagement works closely with other members of the Provost area, Student Care and Support Services, Student Affairs, and others across campus.

The Provost's Office is using this framework to encourage and support Academic Belonging events.
