Dr. Tammy Zilliox

Assistant Professor

I teach in the Elementary, Reading, and Administration Programs. My higher education career started in 2017 at Xavier as an adjunct professor; in 2021 I became full-time. Previously, I taught for 25 years in Cincinnati Public Schools. Along with a current K-8 Ohio license, I have reading and gifted endorsements. My research interests are globalizing curriculum, integrating literacy and social studies efficiently, and exploring various types of experiential learning for preservice and inservice teachers. I am most interested in the UN Sustainable Goals #1 No Poverty and #4 Quality Education. Off campus, I enjoy live music, sporting events, and traveling. My husband and I are both Xavier grads, and we have three daughters.
