Dr. Tammy Zilliox

Assistant Professor

Tammy Zilliox, Ed.D. is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her degrees include Doctorate of Organizational Leadership, Master's in Reading, and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education. She currently teaches Social Studies Methods and various Reading courses. Along with a current K-8 Ohio license, Dr. Zilliox holds reading and gifted endorsements. She has led study abroad programs to Ireland and England and traveled to South America for higher education partnerships. Quality Education, No Poverty, and Gender Equality are her top UN Sustainable goals. She served as a grant coordinator for a community-based tutoring program. She is committed to various social justice causes and an active participant in community service. Prior to Xavier, she spent 25 years in urban education teaching at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels as well as curriculum development. Her research interests include literacy, global education, and experiential learning.
