Xavier University Meal Plans

Xavier offers a variety of meal plans to ensure that no matter your appetite or lifestyle, there is a plan for you. Our meal plans provide convenient access to campus dining options and help create a vibrant campus community.

2024-2025 Resident & Commuter Meal Plan

  • Meal Plan Selections for the 2025-26 school year will open on June 27th, 2025 once housing selection is complete. Meal plans can be added or upgraded throughout the semester.
  • Only continuing commuters [second year at Xavier and up] will need to go to self-service and select a meal plan.
  • Students wishing to upgrade their meal plan can also go onto self-service. This applies to students who are living in on-campus apartments or off-campus first year commuter and transfer students.

To get the most out of your Xavier experience and to encourage wellness and community, students living in Residence Halls, On-campus Apartments and those who are first year commuters and transfer students will be assigned a meal plan.

  • Students living in Buenger, Brockman, Husman, Justice, and Kuhlman will be assigned the Xavier Musketeer Unlimited Meal Plan.
  • Students living in on-campus apartments such as Commons, Dana Apartments/Houses, Manor House, University Apartments, and the Village Apartments, will be assigned the Flex 140 Meal Plan and have the option to upgrade to the Xavier Musketeer Unlimited Meal Plan.
  • First Year Commuter students and transfers will be assigned the 50 Block Meal Plan and have the option to upgrade to any greater meal plan available.

For continuing Commuters, optional meal plans are strongly recommended. These students may choose from all meal plans available. Approximately 73% of the student body enjoys a meal plan to satisfy their dining needs!

The Hoff Dining Commons

The James E. Hoff, S.J. Dining Commons, known as "The Caf," is the main campus dining hall in Justice Hall. It is open to all students, faculty and staff for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week during the academic year.

Our chefs use fresh, local ingredients whenever possible, including produce grown in our own facility. Every meal offers multiple entrée options:

  • Made-to-order omelets every morning
  • Fresh salad bar and made-from-scratch pizza daily
  • Made-to-order sandwiches, tacos, and quesadillas
  • Weekly rotating build-your-own stations with items such as nachos, pasta, ramen, and more

The dining team hosts special events throughout the year, including Family Weekend Brunch, Halloween, Cafsgiving, Christmas Dinner, and more!

 

Terms and Conditions

  • The Meal plan you select is in effect for both the Fall and Spring Semesters. For your convenience, this is an auto-renewal pass for both semesters of one academic year.
  • Changes for each semester are available to be made through the first Friday of the semester by 5:00 pm; after which time, only meal plan upgrade or new purchases are permitted.
  • Upgrades to meal plans are allowed at any time during the assigned semester through the student self-service portal or by contacting Xavier Auxiliary Services.
  • Meal plans purchased or upgraded after the first week of classes will be sold at a prorated price, if applicable. The student's Bursar account will be adjusted to reflect the new meal plan price.
  • The refund schedule follows the University Institutional Policy published on the Xavier University Bursar's website. Please refer to this policy at Xavier.edu/Bursar.
  • Your meal plan selection is billed to your student account through the Bursar's Office.
  • Unused Dining Dollars will carry over from the Fall Semester to the Spring Semester. However, any remaining Dining Dollars at the end of the Spring Semester are non-refundable.
  • Unused meal plan swipes must be used within their respective semester. The unused meal swipes will not carry over from one semester to the next.
