Xavier University and the Department of Art are pleased to announce thesis exhibitions by two senior graphic design majors - Gregory Humbert and Hailey O’Mara. The exhibition opens at 4:00 pm on Friday, April 29 and continues through May 14th.

Gregory Humbert presents The Paperboat Project, a graphic multimedia thesis project that is an apparel brand meant for young adults. Gregory reflects “My interest in change goes far beyond the physical change of any singular person, place, or thing. The idea of change in oneself is an idea best expressed by young adults. Each encounter with a new idea creates further folds in our metaphorical paper. And much like a paper boat, after the refining and reshaping experience of college, we end up in a new shape, ready to set sail onto the water.

Hailey O’Mara presents Self Love - an installation of digital design illustrations and merchandise. The work radiates positive energy, empowers others to embrace who they are, and addresses that mental struggles are acceptable. The installation will feature personal and inspired poetry incorporated into the artwork.

Hailey captures her self-love journey through her abstract artwork and encourages visitors to view the work while reflecting on themselves. The exhibit will have self-love-inspired merchandise for purchase.

Please join us for the Artists’ reception beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29th.
