Remembrances by P.J. Sturdevant

Xavier University and the Department of Art are pleased to present Remembrances - a Fotofocus Exhibition of photographs by PJ Sturdevant, September 29-October 27, 2018.

Remembrances is a collection of Bromoil prints by PJ Sturdevant created for FotoFocus 2018. Selected largely from an archive of over 1000 original 35mm negatives made between 1975 and 1980, many of these prints are of areas that have changed drastically. For example a church, junk shops, and residential properties on Martin Street, now renamed Adams Crossing, no longer exist leaving only the Cincinnati Firehouse building and the steps to River View Park. Other prints remind us of how much remains as it was, like the South Canaan Baptist Church in Athens County Ohio.

Please join us for a reception on Saturday, September 29, 2:00-4:00. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
