Charlie Thacker

Adjunct Faculty - Painting

Charlie Thacker is a practicing artist and educator in the greater Cincinnati area. He earned an MFA from University of Cincinnati's college of DAAP in 2022 and has exhibited work in Kentucky, Ohio, California, and New York, including a solo exhibition at the Carnegie in Lexington, KY. Charlie's teaching appointments include UC DAAP, Northern Kentucky University, Miami University of Ohio, and Xavier University. His studio work and research are concerned with the connections between technology, visual art, and "systems thinking". While maintaining a lively teaching schedule, he also mentors undergraduate and graduate students on creative technologies and interactive/kinetic art, and participates in several regional exhibitions each year
