Mission
Rooted in the Ignatian tradition and the principles of Montessori education, the Xavier University Montessori Institute (XUMI) equips Montessori educators with the knowledge, skills, and spiritual grounding to nurture the whole child. XUMI empowers Montessori teachers to grow as reflective practitioners who are philosophically grounded, ethically driven, and spiritually inspired, and who lead with integrity, justice, and compassion. Through continued learning and professional formation, XUMI supports Montessori educators in transforming their prepared environments through purposeful, child-centered practice.
