Graduate Admission

All of our world-class graduate programs require an application and most require a graduate exam.

Visit the Graduate Admission website.

Undergraduate Admission

Undergraduate students can explore eleven business majors and over 40 minors. About 20 percent double major in two or more business disciplines and 9-10 percent continue to graduate school (via one of our four programs) or other professional programs.

The Williams College of Business does not require a separate application to the College. Admission is granted or denied to the University as a whole. Undergraduate students may enter the business school directly as a new student.

However, the admission procedure differs slightly for first-year (freshmen), transfer, international and non-traditional students (age 24 or older). See below.

First-Year (Traditional Freshmen)

Come join the Williams College of Business! Apply as a first-year student directly or through the Common Application Process. First-year students are defined as those coming directly from high-school/secondary school (including dual-credit programs).

Transfer Students

Continue your education with us! Talk to an admissions counselor dedicated to transfer students.

Transfer students are those who earned university credit at another university and wish to finish their degree at Xavier. Credit from other universities is evaluated by the Office of the Registrar. Once admitted, you will take a math and language exam, followed by a meeting with the College to map our your classes and future.

Students who wish to transfer from the College of Arts and Sciences or College of Professional Sciences are automatically accepted into the Williams College of Business. A 2.000 GPA or better is required.

International Students

The Williams College of Business welcomes international students! About 4 percent of undergraduate business students come from outside the United States.

International students may apply as a first-year, transfer, exchange or graduate student. Xavier also offers an Intensive English Program. Apply or Learn More About Admissions for International Students and the Intensive English Program.

Whether you come from our ESL program or apply directly, our Admissions Office and Center for International Education can help with your application, visa and transition. TOEFL (or other English proficiency exam) is required.

Non-Traditional Students

Adult and Professional Education at Xavier (APEX) program is designed to help students finish the degree they started years ago--or get started on a degree they've always wanted.

Choose the Accelerated Degree Completion option which offers a combination of evening, weekend and online classes over eight-week sessions. Here is a list of available programs.

Admission to the APEX program is for students 24 years or older. Apply to the APEX Program or Learn More About Admission Criteria.
