SGA ELECTION DATES AND IMPORTANT INFO

SGA Elections will take place on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 8am until 8pm. All eligible voters (all undergraduate students) will be emailed a link to vote. 

Important Dates:

  • Wednesday, September 25 at 3pm in GSC 214: Candidate Information Session
  • Thursday, September 26 at 5:30pm in GSC 214: Candidate Information Session
  • Tuesday, October 1 at 5:30pm in GSC Clocktower: Candidate Information Session
  • Wednesday, October 9 at 11:59pm: Paperwork to run for Senate or Executive Due to BOE 
    • This includes Declarations of Candidacy, Headshots, and Nominating Petitions (Executive only).
    • Declarations of Candidacy and Nominating Petitions should be turned into BOE advisor Sophie Roepke in GSC 270. These should be submitted in hard copy.
    • Candidate Profiles and Headshots should be submitted to the BOE chair via EngageXU. 
  • Sunday, October 13 at 10am: Campaign Period Begins with Outdoor Campaigning
  • Wednesday, October 16 at 6pm, GSC Arrupe: Election Meet & Greet (executive candidates & senate candidates)
  • Monday, October 21, 5pm, Executive Meeting Verification forms due
  • Tuesday, October 21, 5pm-6:30pm, Executive Candidates Debate
  • Wednesday, October 23, 8am-8pm: SGA ELECTIONS! (Check your email!)
  • Wednesday, October 23, 10am, Xavier Yard & GSC 1st floor: Donut Forget to Vote! (Senate Candidates)
  • Wednesday, October 23, 10am-4pm: Outdoor Campaigning
  • Wednesday, October 23, 8pm: Deadline for Candidates (Senate and Executive) to submit budgets with paid receipts to the BOE

BOARD OF ELECTIONS MEMBERS

The Board of Elections (BOE) is a subordinate body of SGA that facilitates those elections, ensures all requirements of the Elections Code are followed, and is responsible for announcing the official election results. The BOE is comprised of a chair and a representative from each class. The 2024-2025 BOE is:
