Looking for a Campus Student Employee Position or Internship?

Open positions are posted on Handshake, Xavier's online job board. Follow the instructions below to search and apply for student employee campus positions. To apply for any position via Handshake, you will need to upload a resume.

  1. Prepare your resume. View a sample first year student resume. 
    If you would like to have your resume reviewed by a Career Coach to receive suggested changes and tips, you can e-mail your current resume to career@xavier.edu and just ask for a review.  A Career Coach can e-mail you back with their suggested changes and tips.  If you would like to discuss your resume with a Career Coach e-mail at career@xavier.edu or call 513-745-3141. Career Coach virtual availability through August 10th will be either Tuesday or Thursday between 2:00 and 4:00.  Make sure to include the date of the Tuesday or Thursday you are available between the above times and attach your resume, preferably in a word document.  The Career Coach will call you on the day you’ve requested. 

  • Log into Handshake with your Xavier username and password.
  • From your home page,
    • Click on "Jobs"
    • In the Job Search screen, click on the "On-Campus" filter
    • From the list of positions, click on the Job Posting you are interested in
    • Review the Job Posting description and qualifications
    • Prepare all required documents needed
    • If you are qualified for and interested in the position, click "Apply"
