Xavier Alumna and Adjunct Faculty Member Wins NBCOT Impact Award
October 31, 2025
The Xavier Occupational Therapy Department is proud to announce that Natalie Centers, OTR/L, a Xavier graduate and adjunct faculty member, has been awarded the 2024 NBCOT Impact Award. Natalie founded Queen City Clubhouse (QCC) in 2022, where she empowers adults with mental illness to build independence, confidence, and meaningful daily routines. Her leadership at QCC has helped hundreds of individuals find purpose and autonomy, while also advocating for the essential role of occupational therapy in mental health settings.
Since graduating from Xavier, Natalie has exemplified the values of the profession as a director, educator, advocator, and leader—impacting clients, staff, students, and the wider community. This semester, she is providing an enriching, collaborative learning experience as she mentors a Xavier capstone student. We are proud to celebrate Natalie for representing Xavier and advancing occupational therapy’s influence in mental health. Congratulations, Natalie!
