Symphonic Wind Ensemble
The Xavier University Symphonic Wind Ensemble invite all new and returning students to join us for open rehearsals during the first week of classes this coming Fall. These open rehearsals are a great way for us to get to know you and for you to meet your musical colleagues from around campus. Our musical ensembles thrive on music majors and non-majors working together-All students are welcome!
Symphonic Wind Ensemble: For the Fall semester, students should prepare 2-3 minutes of music representing their best playing. Please choose two excerpts with contrasting styles; one demonstrating technical facility and one demonstrating lyrical expressiveness.
All interested musicians are encouraged to register now, in order to have access to important course materials and announcements. The course number for SWE is MUSC 265. Music and recordings are now posted on Canvas.
