The Xavier University Music Series is proud to announce its 2026-2027 season, continuing its tradition of bringing the very best to Cincinnati. With so many unique atmospheres and artists, this season truly features something for everyone.

Directions and Parking

Most concerts are held in the Gallagher Student Center Theatre, accessible via University Drive. Jazz and Guitar events are frequently held in Bellarmine Chapel, also on Xavier's Campus. We look forward to welcoming you!

Rachel Breen

American pianist Rachel Breen’s performances have been described as “truly show-stopping” (Gramophone UK), having “a beautiful piano sound and original detail.” Laureate of the 2025 Queen Elisabeth Competition, Breen has also been awarded top prizes at Premi Iturbi (2023), the Hans von Bülow International Competition (2023), the Bösendorfer International Competition (2023), the Honens International Piano Competition (2022), the Beethoven International Competition in Vienna (2021), and the Georges Cziffra International Competition (2019), among others.

The Bad Plus Farewell Tour

The Bad Plus are the ultimate originals. A democratic unit with a clear vision and a refusal to conform to convention. For the past two decades they have played with spirit and adventure, made their own rules and done so with a bold sense of creativity and intent.

Michael Chertock

Pianist Michael Chertock has performed as a concerto soloist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Boston Pops, the Montreal and Toronto Symphonies, as well as the Dallas Symphony, the Detroit Symphony, and the State Symphony Orchestra of Moscow. He has recorded solo albums of film music for the Telarc label and appears on more than 40 different recordings on multiple labels.

Kevin Loh

Hailing from Singapore, Kevin Loh is one of the leading classical guitarists of his generation. Kevin’s artistic prowess has resonated across continents, having performed in esteemed venues such as London’s Wigmore Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus, and Tokyo’s Suntory Hall.

Greg Anderson

Pianist, composer, curator, and filmmaker Greg Anderson resolutely defined his life’s mission early in his career: to make classical music a powerful and relevant force in society. In the two decades since, he has dedicated every ounce of his restless intellect, finetuned ability, and innate connectivity to craft listening experiences that realize that vision.

Stephen Hough

One of the most distinctive artists of his generation, Sir Stephen Hough combines a distinguished career as a pianist with those of composer and writer.

Named by The Economist as one of Twenty Living Polymaths, Hough was the first classical performer to be awarded a MacArthur Fellowship (2001).
