Connecting to Wireless

Types of Wireless Networks

From our Knowledge base:  Connecting Computers, Tablets and Phones to Xavier Wireless

Android

  • Join the xavierwifisetup or xavierguest network
  • Open your default web browser and download the Secure W2 JoinNow app
  • Open the app and log in with your Xavier credentials
  • Once you are successfully connected to xavierwireless, press "Done" to finish the process
iPhone/iPad
  • Join the xavierwifisetup or xavierguest network
  • Open your default web browser and visit wifisetup.xavier.edu
  • Make sure to select the iOS option on the page and log in with your Xavier credentials (without the @xavier.edu)
  • Download the xavier.edu profile when prompted
  • Go to settings and tap on the downloaded profile
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and then your device will be connected to the xavierwireless network

MacOS

  • Join the xavierwifisetup or xavierguest network
  • Open your default web browser and visit wifisetup.xavier.edu
  • Make sure to select the iOS option on the page and log in with your Xavier credentials (without the @xavier.edu)
  • Download the xavier.edu profile when prompted
  • Open system preferences, go to profiles, and select the xavier.edu profile
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and then your device will be connected to the xavierwireless network

Windows

  • Join the xavierwifisetup or xavierguest network
  • Open your default web browser and visit wifisetup.xavier.edu
  • Click "Join Now" and then download the SecureW2 application
  • Enter your Xavier credentials (without the @xavier.edu) and click "Next" to start the process
  • Once the process is finished, select "Done" and then your device will successfully be on the xavierwireless network
