Cost of Attendance
The cost of attendance is an annual estimate of educational expenses you will incur while attending Xavier University. The estimate is made up of two types of costs: direct and indirect.
- Direct costs* are items that will appear on your university bills, such as, tuition, fees, and on-campus housing and food.
- Indirect costs will not appear on your bill but are estimated costs associated with going to college and should be included in your budget. These costs include items like transportation, personal expenses, and off-campus housing and food.

This estimate is based on full-time enrollment during the fall and spring semesters.
Specific course, lab, and testing fees will be assessed each semester based on course enrollment.
Undergraduate students who borrow federal loans will have the average loan fee amount added to their cost of attendance. An additional loan fee will be added when a parent borrows a Federal Direct PLUS Loan on behalf of the student.

This estimate is for graduate students who enroll at least half-time during the fall and spring semesters. Most graduate students are considered half time when enrolled in at least 5 credit hours per semester.
Specific course, lab, and testing fees will be assessed each semester based on course enrollment.
Graduate students who borrow a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan will have the average loan fee amount of $180 added to their cost of attendance. An additional loan fee will be added for graduate students who borrow a Federal Direct PLUS Loan.
