Mia Rivolta, Ph.D.

Associate Professor, D.J. O'Conor Research Professor

Mia Rivolta is an Associate Professor in Finance at Xavier University. She is also the D.J. O'Conor Research Professor in the William College of Business.
She earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Dr. Rivolta teaches Corporate Finance and Corporate Governance in the full-time MBA program as well as at the undergraduate level. She previously taught Security Valuation at Babson College. Dr. Rivolta's main research interests are in Corporate Finance and Governance. Currently, she is doing research in the areas of Mergers and Acquisition, Corporate Disclosure, and ESG related issues. Dr. Rivolta has published her research in the Journal of Corporate Finance, European Financial Management, the Financial Review, as well as other academic outlets. She has presented her research at major national and international Finance conferences as well as at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
