Mia Rivolta, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Finance
Dr. Mia L. Rivolta is an Assistant Professor in Finance at Xavier University.
She earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She teaches Corporate Finance in the full-time MBA program as well as at the undergraduate level. She previously taught Security Valuation at Babson College. Dr. Rivolta's main research interests are in Corporate Finance and Governance. Currently, she is doing research in the areas of CEO compensation and succession planning. Dr. Rivolta has published her research in the Journal of Corporate Finance, European Financial Management, the Review of Accounting and Finance as well as other academic outlets. She has presented her research at major national and international Finance conferences as well as at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
