The Financial Executives International Outstanding Student Award
$1,500 Scholarship (Deposited in Bursar Acct)
Presented by the Cincinnati chapter of Financial Executives International to an outstanding undergraduate in finance.
The Philip W. Glasgo Award
Presented to a student completing the finance major with the highest distinction. Dr. Glasgo was a member of the Department from 1984 to 2013. He was an advisor and mentor to hundreds of our undergraduate and MBA students. This award is given in his memory.
The Rothwell Award
Presented to a finance major for outstanding dedication and academic achievement. Professor Rothwell was a Xavier alumnus and member of the Department from 1964 to 1992. This award is given in his memory.
The Excellence in Finance Award
Awarded to a graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in finance coursework.
The Stephen S. Smith Award
Matt Carroll, Malcolm Menezes
Awarded to a student director of the Xavier Student Investment Fund who exhibits extraordinary leadership. Mr. Smith is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager with Brandywine Global. A 1968 graduate of Xavier, he is a member of the University Board of Trustees who had helped guide student investing at Xavier. This award is given in his honor.
The Bahl & Gaynor Award
Awarded to a second or third year female and/or minority finance major with financial need who demonstrates finance and/or investment interests.
The Matthew McCormick Award
Malcolm Menezes, Conor Davis
Awarded to students winning the finance challenge at the annual Matthew McCormick Investment Symposium. Mr. McCormick was a graduate of Xavier, a portfolio manager at Bahl & Gaynor, and a member of the Department’s Board of Executive Advisors. He was instrumental in the start of student investing at Xavier. This award is given in his memory.
