U.S. Treasury

The Treasury Department is the executive agency responsible for promoting economic prosperity and ensuring the financial security of the United States. The Department is responsible for a wide range of activities such as advising the President on economic and financial issues, encouraging sustainable economic growth, and fostering improved governance in financial institutions.


European Central Bank

The ECB is the central bank for Europe's single currency, the euro. The ECB's main task is to maintain the euro's purchasing power and thus price stability in the euro area. The euro area comprises the 16 European Union countries that have introduced the euro since 1999.


U.S. Flow of Funds

Data on most financial intermediaries is prepared by the Federal Reserve and is published in the U.S. Flow of Funds report. The report can be accessed from Federal Reserve site by clicking the "Flow of Funds Account" tab.


Federal Reserve Policy Information

Provides information on the Federal Reserve System. Includes useful information on important monetary actions such as open market operations, changes in the discount rate, and reserve requirement changes.


U.S. Treasury Debt

The mission of the Bureau of the Public Debt is to borrow the money needed to operate the federal government, account for the resulting debt, and provide reimbursable support services to federal agencies.


Treasury Bulletin

Provides information on the distribution of U.S. debt among other items.


Government Information Submitted by Congress

The U.S Government Printing Office (GPO) provides publishing and dissemination services for the official and authentic government publications to Congress, Federal agencies, Federal depository libraries, and the American public.


Beige Book

The "Summary of Commentary on Current Economic Conditions by Federal Reserve District," report commonly known as the Beige Book, is published eight times per year. Each Federal Reserve Bank gathers anecdotal information on current economic conditions in its District through reports from Bank and Branch directors and interviews with key business contacts, economists, market experts, and other sources. The Beige Book summarizes this information by District and sector. An overall summary of the twelve district reports is prepared by a designated Federal Reserve Bank on a rotating basis.
