Academy for Community Engaged Faculty - Spring 2024

Now celebrating its sixteenth year, the Academy for Community Engaged Faculty supports Xavier faculty making a significant revision to a chosen course or in creating a new course that integrates pedagogy and practices of community engaged learning. Xavier Faculty from all four Colleges have participated in this program and developed over 75 new or enhanced courses into the University Course Catalog.

Academy for Community-Engaged Faculty Cohort 2009 - 2023

The 2009 - 2023 cohorts represent a broad range of faculty interests, as well as representation from each college within Xavier University.  Their areas of scholarship are diverse and include History, Theology, Physics, Art, Economics, Education, Modern Languages, Social Work, Music, Management, Entrepreneurship, Sociology, Counseling, and Communication Arts.  Graduates have collaborated with the Eigel Center to develop over 28 courses that integrate engagement and service to dozens of community partners.
