Communication

ARE YOU THE PROBLEM OR THE SOLUTION?

Rationale for this project:

Students in Comm 327 - Interpersonal Conflict Management are committed to educating their peers about issues facing Muslim-Americans. With the support of their community partner, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), these Buzzfeed Style listicles and infographics were designed to provide information to offset the misconceptions and myths that circulate in today's social media platforms.

The intent is to provide media pieces that will lead to meaningful public discourse among people between the ages of 18-24. The use of humor via popular culture gifs is intended to draw the reader's attention and add to the experience. Students relied heavily on a documentary entitled What a Billion Muslims Really Think and a book Who Speaks for Islam. Both are based on data collected by the World Gallup Survey

Be part of the solution!
