Matescia Stroud

Associate Director, Career Development Office

Matescia Stroud is the Associate Director and Employer Relations Lead within the Career Development Office at Xavier University. In this role, I serve as a primary liaison between the university and local and national employers, helping organizations increase their brand awareness and build talent pipelines by engaging directly with students on campus.

As a career coach, I specifically support graduate students, including those in the MBA program, guiding them through vocational discernment and professional development. My work emphasizes experiential learning, facilitating opportunities for employers to participate in resume reviews, mock interviews, and faculty networking.

Beyond my work in career services, I am deeply involved in the Xavier campus community. I serve on the advisory board for the Division of Ignatian Belonging and the Shades of X Leadership team, and I have been recognized as an "Ignatian Educator of Distinction." I have also been a featured voice in the university's "Living the Mission" series, where I shared my perspective on integrating Xavier’s Jesuit values into student financial services and nursing support. I enjoy participating in community service events, traveling, and I am a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and Alpha Alpha Alpha Honor Society.
