Dr. Martin Madar

Martin Madar specializes in Catholic systematic theology, particularly in ecclesiology. His scholarly interests also include foundational theology, the Second Vatican Council, and theology and science. He is the author of The Church of God and Its Human Face, which examines the contribution of Joseph Komonchak to ecclesiology (Pickwick 2019).  In his courses, Dr. Madar strives to weave together the diversity of students' experiences and his study of theology to create a learning environment of shared critical inquiry. His signature courses are God on Trial (First-Year Seminar) and the Church after Vatican II.
