SWAG Peer Educators

Meet the Peer Educators for the 2023-2024 Academic Year

Clare 2024

Clare (she/her) is a senior psychology major from Hingham, Massachusetts. This is her second year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Clare serves as a peer educator because when she thinks about Xavier's Jesuit values, SWAG encompasses so many of them but especially solidarity, kinship, and cura personalis (care for the whole person). She wants to help her peers live out these values and strive for balance in the craziness that is college!

Atalie 2024

Atalie (she/her) is a junior Social Work major from Loveland, Ohio. This is her first year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Atalie is a peer educator because she loves connecting with other students who share her passion for advocacy and wellbeing! She loves challenging herself and others to dive deeper into issues that may be stigmatized within our community, working to make our campus a safer place.

Izzy 2024

Izzy (she/her) is a senior Communications and PR major from Atlantic City, New Jersey. This is her second year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Izzy serves as a peer educator because she is passionate about taking care of her mental and physical health. She think there’s an alarming stigma on speaking out about certain aspects of life that make us human. By becoming a peer educator, she can help break this stigma and encourage other students to prioritize well-being for further excellence.

Gabby 2024

Gabby (she/her) is a junior Montessori Education major from Cincinnati, Ohio. This is her first year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Gabby serves as a peer educator because she thinks that Xavier has some amazing resources that are not always taken advantage of by students. Many people on this campus are here for you and care for students and want to help. She hopes to guide students, especially minority students, to all of the resources Xavier has to offer. So many of them help the mind, body, and soul which is incredibly important to care for all of these, specifically in college.

Maddie 2024

Maddie (she/her) is a senior Early Childhood Education major from Chicago, Illinois. This is her second year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Maddie serves as a peer educator because since the beginning of the pandemic, she has been discovering new ways to find peace and benefit her mental health. Balancing college and taking care of yourself can seem hard to juggle at times and she wants to learn more about how to help students and be a resource for those seeking help or wanting to learn more.

Rosie 2024

Rosie (she/her) is a senior Philosophy, Politics, and the Public major from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is her third year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Rosie serves as a peer educator because the 8 dimensions of well-being have been crucial to her ability to lead a healthy lifestyle in her time here at Xavier. Whether that be taking care of herself physically, managing stress, balancing responsibilities, fostering meaningful relationships, and so much more, focusing on her well-being has played an important role in her health and happiness, and she serves to help her peers experience the positives of working on their own well-being as well.

Taee 2024

Taee (she/her) is a senior biology major from Memphis, TN. This is her third year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Taee serves as a peer educator because every year since freshman year, she has experienced some type of traumatic event that has affected her mental health. She realized how much easier it was to have support of someone in your surrounding area. By being a peer educator, she can offer that support as well as educate the importance of wellbeing to people of campus. She wants to be able to give students the opportunity to talk to someone if the need as well as share experiences and how she was able to overcome them.

Emma 2024

Emma (she/her) is a sophomore Biology major from Lima, Ohio. This is her first year as a SWAG Peer Educator. Emma serves as a peer educator because she loves overall wellness and trying to become the best version of herself while helping others do the same.

Al 2024

Al (she/her) is a first year Doctorate of Occupational Therapy student from Columbus, Ohio. Al serves as the graduate coordinator because she wants to build her understanding of taking care of the whole person and to learn how to emphasize the dimensions of wellbeing in her future career as an occupational therapist.
