The Open Path: Exploring College & Possibilities

Not everyone has their future mapped out and that’s more than okay! The Open Path: Exploring College & Possibilities invites students to lean into curiosity and confidence while discovering what college can look like as an undecided major. Through guided conversations, hands-on activities, and real talk from Xavier University faculty and professionals across a wide range of fields, students will explore career pathways, transferable skills, and the tools needed to thrive academically and personally, even while still figuring it all out.

This session also includes an offsite reflective experience focused on personal values, interests, and strengths, helping students begin to discern what truly matters to them as they imagine their future. By demystifying the experience of entering college without a declared major, The Open Path empowers students to see uncertainty not as a setback, but as an opportunity filled with possibility, growth, and purpose.
