Rose Walton
Assistant Director for New Student Programs
Rose Walton is from Philadelphia, PA. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, PA, where she majored in Leadership, Ethics and Organizational Sustainability with minors in Marketing and Economics. During her undergraduate years, Rose was involved in a variety of campus activities and leadership roles. She served as an orientation leader, was a proud captain of the national championship-winning cheerleading team, and led Habitat for Humanity service trips across the country.
After graduating, Rose worked in the human resources field as an HR generalist and recruiter. Eventually, she found her way to Austin, TX where she worked as a College Success Coach and Program Manager for College Possible, a non-profit that supports first-generation college students in gaining admission to and succeeding through college.
Following her time at College Possible, Rose attended Villanova University and earned a Master of Arts in Education with a Higher Education Leadership concentration. In Summer 2023, Rose served as the OSI's NODA Intern and supported the Manresa and Transfer orientation programs. After finishing her degree, she made her way back to Xavier to begin her current role in July 2024.
