FAMILY WEEKEND CHECK-IN / ON-SITE REGISTRATION

1:00 PM - 6:00 PM | Arrupe Overlook, First Floor, Gallagher Student Center 

Please stop by the Gallagher Student Center to pick up your Family Weekend registration materials or register your family if you did not pre-register online. Your Xavier student or a member of your family must check-in during the hours of operation to receive your registration materials.  If you are pre-registered and one of the first 1500 families in line for check-in you will receive a Family Weekend fleece blanket as a memento.

Join us prior to Musketeer Madness to meet other Xavier families and learn more about Xavier's two signature parent volunteer programs - The Parent Leadership Council and Xavier Ambassadors! Complementary appetizers will be served. Please enter through the west entrance to Cintas and take the elevator up to floor 5, the Cafe is located in section 215 of the arena. 

X-PATH GAME AFTERNOON

The X-Path program invites students and their families affiliated with with the program to join them for family fun - cards, board games and switch on the theatre screen.

You and your family have FREE admission to the recreation center with your Family Weekend wristband! Check out our facility, we would love to have you join us! You must provide a state issued ID and sign a liability waiver to utilize the facility. Facility access is reserved for those 18 and older only. There will also be representatives from Recreational Sports available to share information about the fitness center and show families around!

MUSKETEER FAN FEST ON THE PLAZA

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM | Cintas Center Plaza

Come and enjoy music, games, and fun before heading into the Cintas Center for Musketeer Madness. Activities will include inflatable games for kids, food and more! 

(in case of rain, this event will be on the Concourse inside the Cintas Center)

MUSKETEER MADNESS

6:30 PM - 8:30 PM | Cintas Center Arena

Musketeer Madness is the tip-off event for fans as the men’s and women’s basketball teams gear up for the 2022-2023 season. This season's X-Shirt will be unveiled and available for purchase. The event will include a fan giveaway, team introductions, and blue and white scrimmages from both basketball teams. Musketeer Madness is a Family Weekend tradition and fan favorite! Doors open at 6:00pm.

AN EVENING OF JAZZ *

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Music Resource Center - 3032 Woodburn Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45206

An evening of Jazz performances from the Xavier Jazz Orchestra, Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra, Xavier student vocalists, faculty vocalists, and a residency with a local singer Mandy Gaines. Seating is limited, please purchase tickets online here. Tickets are $25 per person.

Welcome to the Renaissance where brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play while being stuck in the shadow of that playwriting rock star known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of the theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world's very first musical.

Come and enjoy a full-service brunch at the Hoff Dining Commons including all your brunch favorites. Guests will enjoy made-to-order omelets, delicious breakfast sandwiches, fresh fruit and yogurt, a full carving station, as well as make your own X waffle and more! Dining on campus never tasted so good! Brunch is included in your registration fee.

PHILOSOPHY, POLITICS, AND THE PUBLIC HONORS PROGRAM FAMILY WELCOME

We welcome PPP students and their families for a light breakfast (coffee and pastries), an update on the program from faculty, and some sample classes taught by program faculty. 

FUN FAMILY FITNESS

10:00 AM - 11:30 AM | Balance Studio, Health United Building 

Students and their families are invited to join EXSC and SWEAT Clubs for some fun fitness time together! This session will include both student and faculty led fitness instruction including Zumba, Circuit Training and Yoga. Instructors are certified in their activity and there will be instructor aids (students and club advisors) to help facilitate the session. All activities will be modifiable for everyone, all ages and abilities, to participate.

Family Action Day

Join the CFJ for a smaller scale version of a Xavier tradition - serving our community, together! Choose from one of three nearby service sites (all within a mile of campus) to positively impact the neighborhoods around campus, with longstanding community partners. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR A SPECIFIC SITE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE. Please note Family Action Day will be cancelled if there is rain.

Nexus Garden Site - Nexus stands for Norwood Evanston Xavier Urban Sustainability and is a partnership garden that draws us closer to our neighbors. Help clean up the garden and prepare it for winter - a task as important as all the other garden tasks throughout the year. Click here to register for this site.

Wasson Way Site - This trail connects Xavier to communities, parks and other assets in our community, and has taken collaborative work to create and maintain. Spend the morning keeping it clean. Click here to register for this site. 

SERVICE LEARNING: COMMUNITY GARDEN WINTERIZATION

Come experience what we do in an ENG 205 Service Learning Class here at XU! We will be winterizing an urban farm run by our community partners.

XAVIER SINGERS CONCERT

Come and see Xavier Singers perform some of your favorite songs, blending singing and dancing in what promises to be an engaging and entertaining performance. All the songs are student choreographed and accompanied by Singers’ own student band.
