Tina Davlin-Pater is a Professor and the Director of the Athletic Training Education program. She is also the advisor for the Xavier University student organization for athletic training. She received her bachelor's degree in athletic training from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. She received a master's degree in kinesiology from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada and earned a Ph.D. from the University of Utah. She has worked as an athletic trainer for the Anchorage Bucs Baseball team in Alaska and as a volunteer for the National Figure Skating Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Davlin-Pater has published several articles on the use of vision to control orientation while somersaulting in the air. Her current research interests include: metacognition, teaching soft-skills, athletic training education, perception of orientation and the influence of visual cues on balance performance.
