Ms. Megan Zarnitz, LISW-S
Director of Field Education/Teaching Professor
Megan Zarnitz is Director of Field Education and Teaching Professor in the Department of Social Work at Xavier University. She is a mission centered Independently Licensed Social Worker with a passion for trauma informed programs, human thriving, and impact measurement. Megan has substantial experience across multiple systems including in nonprofit leadership, program design and evaluation, family preservation, medical social work, refugee resettlement, substance use disorders, and housing instability.
She graduated from Xavier University with a bachelor's degree in Social Work and Boston College with a master's degree in Social Work with a global focus. In 2017 Megan was awarded the Xavier University Magis Award which recognizes a young alumnus who has achieved a high degree of excellence and embodies Jesuit values.
