Dr. Jennifer Shadik is an Associate Professor and the MSW Program Director at Xavier University. Her research focuses on fathering, sibling violence, and child welfare. She regularly presents at national conferences, publishes scholarly articles, and co-edited a book on Social Work Practice with Fathers. Dr. Shadik practiced as a clinical social worker for many years, including providing intensive in-home family preservation services, outpatient therapy with children and adolescents and their families, and group treatment with parents who have maltreated a child. She is licensed at the clinical/independent level, in both Ohio (LISW-S) and Virginia (LCSW).
