Citizen's Police Academy
Xavier Police Department invites all community members to participate in our Spring '23 Citizen's Police Academy. Classes will be held weekly (Wednesdays from 6:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.), beginning January 18 through April 26, except March 8 (Spring Break). Refreshments will be served at 6:00 p.m., except during off-site tours. Participants will meet in the Flynn Hall lobby. Classes will take place in the Flynn Hall Large Conference Room.

- Week 2 (1/25/23) - Police Standards
- Week 3 (2/1/23) - Tools of the Trade / Communications
- Week 4 (2/8/23) - Search and Seizure
- Week 5 (2/15/23) - Off-site tour: Hamilton County Coroner's office
- Week 6 (2/22/23) - Off-site tour: Hamilton County Detention Facility
- Week 7 (3/1/23) - Off-site tour: Hamilton County Prosecutor's office
- Week 8 (3/15/23) - Patrol
- Week 9 (3/22/23) - Crime Scene Investigation / Evidence Collection / Property Room Management
- Week 10 (3/29/23) - Use of Force / Defensive Tactics
- Week 11 (4/5/23) - DUI / Arrests
- Week 12 (4/12/23) - Drugs / Canine
- Week 13 (4/19/23) - Traffic Stops
- Week 14 (4/20/23) - MILO / Graduation
