Ofc. Jeffrey Purtee

Xavier University Police Department

Officer Jeffrey Purtee has been with the Xavier University Police Department since 2016. Ofc. Purtee has an extensive law enforcement career that includes the Baltimore City Police, Union Township Police, New Richmond Police, and the Mount St. Joseph Police departments. He has been a Case Manager and Corrections Officer at the Warren Correctional Institution. He was a member of the State of Ohio Department of Corrections Hostage Negotiating Team (STAR team). 

Ofc. Purtee has two Bachelor's degrees - one in Police Administration from the University of Louisville and the other in Addiction Studies from the University of Cincinnati. He also has a Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of Cincinnati. 

Ofc. Purtee is a U.S. Navy Veteran (retired) with 25 years of service and three deployments to the Middle East, post-9/11.
